Waywood Furniture

Quite deliberately there is no direct and easy way to hit all the members of DMOU simultaneously with your CV, as that would allow anyone in the world to bombard us constantly with all sorts of stuff.

In any case, before you did that, would you really want to waste the time of makers whom you would not want to join anyway? Some may be too distant from where you want to live, some may have making styles which would not suit your abilities, etc. Also consider that many makers operate as strictly one-person businesses.

The best thing therefore is to do your research first. The obviouis place to start is the Positions Vacant page, but thereafter take a to look at Member Profiles. Which makers would you want to work for? Which ones look as if they might employ people at all? You will usually be able to find a contact address either on this site or the maker's own site.

You can contact listmaster@designermakers.org.uk with a request to pass your message on to all the members. However, be aware that your message would have to be judged of genuine interest to the majority of members to be allowed through. In general, a round robin asking about vacancies would not fall into this category. For more information see Mailing Lists.
