Richard Williams MA
Graduating with distinction from Buckinghamshire College in 1989 and subsequently winning several awards for my work led me to a short spell working with Martin Grierson in London, before establishing my first workshop in Amersham in 1990.
Since then I have steadily grown my team, moved to our current workshop and continued to produce fine contemporary furniture to commission.
We are proud that our work has attracted many accolades, including eight Guildmark awards from the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, and most notably the Claxton-Stevens Award in 1995.
In 2003 I was extremely thrilled to be awarded an honourary Master of Arts Degree by Buckingamshire Chilterns Universty College for ‘exceptional achievements in furniture design and cabinetmaking’. I continue to lecture at the university, and also have links with London Metropolitan University, Rycotewood College and the University of Central Lancashire. The team:
